    Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Experiencing diarrhea after consuming DS Pre & Probiotic Fibre?

After consuming DS Pre & Probiotic Fibre, some individuals may undergo a detoxification process, characterized by the passage of fluffy and sticky stools. This doesn’t result in dehydration, so even with frequent bowel movements, you may not feel fatigued and might even experience relief. This phenomenon is sometimes mistaken for diarrhea but needs to be clearly distinguished. Diarrhea typically involves watery stools, potentially leading to dehydration and fatigue. If you still feel energetic after consuming probiotics, it’s likely due to toxin elimination rather than significant fluid loss. However, based on market feedback, most people experience soft stools rather than diarrhea after consumption. Yet, if you’re particularly sensitive to probiotics or influenced by factors like weather, lifestyle and diet, your bowel response may vary. Therefore, if you’re one of them, consider reducing your intake of probiotics.

Can individuals with frequent diarrhea drink DS Pre & Probiotic Fibre?

In cases of diarrhea caused by viral or bacterial infections, it is indeed advisable to consume probiotics. Both types of diarrhea typically involve impaired intestinal mucosal barrier function and insufficient probiotics. By supplementing with an adequate amount of probiotics, it can help restore the intestinal mucosal barrier function. Continuous supplementation of probiotics for 1- 3 days aids in the treatment of diarrhea. After the diarrhea subsides, it’s best to continue probiotic supplementation for a month to help re-establish a healthy balance of gut flora, thereby protecting the vulnerable intestinal mucosa.

When treating diarrhea and prescribed with Smecta (diosmectite), is it okay to take DS Pre & Probiotic Fibre at the same time?

It is not recommended to take them simultaneously because Smecta is an adsorbent drug that primarily works by adsorbing bacteria in the intestines. If taken together with probiotics, Smecta might adsorb the probiotics and flush them out of the body, rendering the probiotics ineffective. It’s advised to wait 3- 4 hours after taking Smecta before consuming probiotics.

People who have been relying on saline laxatives for a long time, after drinking DS Pre & Probiotic Fibre continuously for a week, did not observe any reaction?

Due to dependency on saline laxatives, drinking DS Pre & Probiotic Fibre did not produce any effect.

After drinking DS Pre & Probiotic Fibre for some time, there is no bowel movement?

After drinking DS Pre & Probiotic Fibre for some time, experiencing difficulty with bowel movements could be due to 2 possible reasons: First, inadequate dietary intake may not meet the body’s energy requirements, causing the body to reduce excretion to conserve energy. In this case, it is recommended to increase the intake of high-calorie, low-fat foods. Second, it’s possible that the body has emptied the colon of accumulated waste. In this case, stopping the intake of probiotics for 2 to 3 days before resuming, while also increasing water intake and performing clockwise abdominal massages, may help alleviate the situation.

I have been taking probiotics continuously for a month, but now I'm experiencing stomach pain every time I eat fruits and yogurt. What could be the reason for this?

During the intestinal repair process, consuming raw and cold foods may lead to discomfort, which is normal. Intestinal repair is an ongoing process, and fruits and yogurt are considered raw and cold foods, so it’s best to limit their intake.

Why do people experience increased excretion after taking probiotics, even when consuming less food?

Under normal circumstances, the human colon is approximately 1- 3 meters long and accumulated fecal matter in the intestines can weigh between 3- 5 kilograms, which often cannot be completely expelled. Probiotics work to facilitate the elimination of residual waste and fecal matter from the intestines. Therefore, an increase in bowel movements is a normal phenomenon when starting to consume probiotics.

Why do bowel movements vary in frequency for each individuals after consuming DS Pre & Probiotic Fibre?

Each individual has a unique constitution; some may have a tendency towards dampness and heat in their bodies, while others may lean towards coldness. Therefore, the response and effects of probiotics can vary due to individual differences.

Note: The dosage should be adjusted based on individual constitution.

Does bowel movement become easier when drinking probiotics and more difficult when not drinking?

Each person’s bowel movements follow a certain rhythm, and the frequency of bowel peristalsis varies from person to person. Drinking probiotics can accelerate bowel movements by enhancing the action of dietary fiber, making bowel movements smoother. However, if probiotic intake is stopped, bowel movements may slow down, resulting in less smooth bowel movements or even no bowel movement on that day. Over time, bowel movements may gradually adapt to the slower frequency and resume. If our lifestyle habits are poor and we fail to consume enough dietary fiber each day, bowel movements may not be as smooth as when taking probiotics, which is understandable.

    The hazards of constipation include:
    1. Long-term constipation can lead to the accumulation of toxins in the body, causing systemic toxicity and reducing organ function, and may even lead to other health issues.
    2. Constipation is harmful to liver function because prolonged fecal retention in the intestines may lead to the reabsorption of toxins, causing damage to the liver.
    3. Constipation may lead to hemorrhoids and anal fissures. Prolonged straining during bowel movements may cause the rectal mucosa to protrude, affecting venous return and resulting in hemorrhoids; meanwhile, excessive straining may damage the anal canal, leading to anal fissures.
    4. Long-term constipation may affect fertility opportunities because it may interfere with the function of the hypothalamic-pituitary- ovarian axis, hindering ovulation and reducing fertility opportunities.
    5. Constipation may have negative effects on appearance, such as melasma and acne. Prolonged constipation exacerbates the burden on the liver, making it difficult to eliminate toxins from the body in a timely manner, which may cause dysfunction of the endocrine system, hormonal imbalance and subsequent facial pigmentation and acne problems.
    6. Unresolved fecal impaction may lead to obesity because fecal impaction may be repeatedly reabsorbed, leading to weight issues.
    7. Long-term constipation may promote bacterial fermentation in the intestines, producing toxic substances that stimulate mucosal epithelial cells, leading to hyperplasia, which may trigger cell mutations.
    8. Constipation-induced straining during bowel movements, increasing abdominal pressure, may lead to cardiovascular disease events such as angina, myocardial infarction and stroke, the incidence of which is increasing year by year.

    Feedback

“Before, I only went to the bathroom once a week, and my constipation was really severe. I tried many methods to improve, but none were effective. Then, I saw DS Probiotics online and decided to give it a try. After consistently taking it for 3 months, my constipation problems are completely gone!”

    Ms. Chan

“Since my youth, I’ve struggled with constipation issues, sometimes going 2- 3 days without a bowel movement, which was clearly abnormal. You might have seen my slender frame with a bulging belly. But on the first day of taking DS Pre & Probiotic Fibre, I felt the urge to have a bowel movement. Now, I can go daily, and in just a month, my bulging belly has disappeared, and my waistline is beginning to show. You might wonder if it’s because of a laxative, but I can assure you, it’s completely laxative-free. That’s one of the reasons I chose DS Pre & Probiotic Fibre.”
